welcome to intressim's hospital
welcome to intressim's hospital for the mentally insane. our facility hold some of the craziest people in the world, ranging from criminals to the paranoid, all with stories to tell. and grudges to hold.
however, there is a new face in the hospital: dr. elliot abraham. the mean, nasty doctor has a thing for finding money in unusual places. so when the government offers him some new opportunities for the hospital, and the cash to make it happen, he jumps.
the government has chosen intressim's to facilitate a large "gifted" population that seems to be springing up across the nation. many are hiding their powers, or else using them for good. others, however, are causing mischief wherever they go. "these freaks," the president said in one news conference regarding the new law, "are a threat to our way of life, and must be detained, good or bad, old or young." it has also become illegal to harbor a gifted, and many parents are forced to relinquish their children, husbands and wives forced to lose their spouses. the rest of the country backed the decision.
the true reason for these captures is the military's interest in creating "super-human soldiers." they have been attempting this for many years, though always failing. many of the past testers of these abilities are imprisoned in intressim's, as well. no need for word to spread about these occurrences.
many lab techs and nurses have been hired to run series of secret experiments on the gifted patients. these are often torturous, and many have died while being tested on. these injustices have led to a wide spread feeling of panic, and a need for rebellion. patients, doctors, and nurses are beginning to fight the injustice. many, though, are keeping quiet, or helping to quell these outbursts. even the patients, for the right price.
collecting marbles is a unique experience in that you may play as a doctor, nurse, patient, gifted, or ex-soldier. the plot is original and always changing, mostly run by the role players themselves.
