we won't say our goodbyes 633 WORDS FOR JOSH. FIRST THREAD FOR LOU! YUS! Click [atrb=border,0,true]
It was early Tuesday morning and Lou wasn't quite having good day so far. Her new puppy, Butch, had an accident earlier that morning. She had nothing else to do but clean up after him. Rather than a marathon of fussing, she just sat down on her long blue couch, and doubled over in boredom. She hadn't quite had a day like this before. Since her late arrival to Ehu, she had nothing but fun. She had worn out her stay already. Eating at the corner restaurant wasn't as exciting anymore, and she hadn't made many friends. Her sister hated her inside and out, and she could talk to her parents about anything. After all, she was the one who ran out. Ames was a lost cause. She hated going to him for anything. He wasn't much help. All he would say is 'I'm sorry' and move on with his life. No advice, no sympathy. Though Lou knew she didn't deserve any kind of sympathy from anyone in her life. Her last hope was some Josh kid she had met the week prior to this downfall of activity. They met at some kind of party, and just talked up a storm. Though she hadn't seen him since, she had his number, and when in doubt call a friend? Jumping up from her seat, she ran past Butch lying on the floor. Laughing at him she reached her kitchen and began looking for her phone. Any phone. She couldn't find it. And she sat down once again, but this time at the kitchen table. "Where the hell could it be?" |
she spoke to herself. Trying to pace her steps back to the night before, which was the last she had seen of it. Ten minutes later, her phone began to ring, still she didn't know where it was. Searching, she found all kinds of things. The lost bracelet Ames gave her, a note from Marion, and beads. By the time she found the phone, the answering machine caught it. She immediately threw a fit, and set the phone down to gather herself. Picking the phone back up, she dialed the number she had stored in her mind. With it ringing, she waited for him to answer impatiently. Then almost immediately, she began to pick things up and threw them back down. As he picks up the phone, she sounds more happier than ever. "Josh! I'm glad you picked up! It's Lucy." She stated. "I uhm," She started to pace around her house, searching for a way to invite him over. "If you're not busy, would you like to maybe uhm.. come hang out with me or something? I mean you don't have to if you don't want to but uh," she had nothing left to say to the already awkward conversation. She's inviting a male she barely knew to her house, and that wasn't completely out of character for her. Even though her and Ames are going at it, she finds herself talking to a bunch of other guys. It isn't like he's doing the same, if not much more. Lucy won't see the bigger picture that the guys she so infatuated with is playing her like a violin. And he's quite good at it. He sugar coats things, and she falls for it, even though she knows how wrong the relationship is too good to be true. "No problem Josh. I hope you aren't afraid of dogs. See you soon. Bye" She was now smiling, and she turned around, taking a look at her junky living room. She had an hour to clean before her guest comes over, and she had a lot to do, but she would gladly do it to stay sane. She needs people to talk to to stay happy. we're dancin' on the edge of the Hollywood signI don't know if I'll make it, but watch how good I'll fake it Josh laid on his bed squinting up at the ceiling. It was early enough for the sun to be coming in through his windows, but way too early for the teenager to be up. He had tried multiple times to go back to sleep, each time he was disturbed by something or someone. First it was his boss calling him at six to remind him that he had the day off. Who did that anyway, call an employee at six o'clock in the morning to tell them they didn't have to go to work? After that, his friends wouldn't stop texting him. Then his golden retriever and Saint Bernard, Roxy and Buster, both decided that they would much rather sleep on his bed than theirs. The boy scratched both of the animals a couple of times before closing his eyes to try again. As if perfectly on cue, his cellphone rang. "What now?" the boy groaned, reaching for the increasingly stupid phone. When his hand didn't find it on the bed side table, Josh let out another groan and sat up to look for it. He looked on the floor around the table, thinking that it probably just fell off or something. True enough it was there. Squinting at the bright numbers, he faintly recognized it, but couldn't exactly put a name or face to the digits. "Hello?" He answered, sleepiness still slightly clouding his voice. Josh! I'm glad you picked up! It's Lucy. an almost overly happy voice replied. "Oh hi Lucy. What's up?" He replied automatically before stopping to try and recall who he was talking to. A faint memory of a party came to his mind. it was thrown by one of his friends since the parents were gone for the weekend. She was there, alcohol was there, Josh was even friendlier than usual. They ended up talking a lot and became sort-of friends. He gave her his number and that was pretty much her whole relationship so far. They haven't seen each other since or really talked at all. Apparently that was about to change. I uhm, If you're not busy, would you like to maybe uhm.. come hang out with me or something? I mean you don't have to if you don't want to but uh.... she trailed off. "Ah sure, I don't have work today or anything really so why not? I need to get ready though. see you in about an hour?" He said, looking around. No problem Josh. I hope you aren't afraid of dogs. See you soon. Bye.Josh laughed slightly. "Definitely not, I have two. See ya." He replied before hanging up. The teen walked over to his clothes and picked up whatever outfit was the cleanest, promising himself that he would do laundry tonight. First, he needed to wash himself. Walking into the bathroom, he jumped into the shower. After Josh finished washing off, he got dressed, put deodorant and cologne on, and dragged a brush through his hair. He walked back to the doorway for his room and whistled to Roxy and Buster. The two dogs obediently jumped off of his bed and followed their owner to food. The boy put their food down and grabbed a muffin for himself. Josh was about to walk out the door when he realized that he had no clue where he was going. How was he supposed to know where Lucy lived? Taking out his cellphone, Josh dialed Lucy's number and waited for her to pick up. When she finally did he smiled. "Hey Lucy! Umm where do you live?"Word count: 599 Tagged: Lucy Notes: First thread for Joshie too! Sorry if it wasn't all that good.

we won't say our goodbyes 610 WORDS FOR JOSH. I'M RAMBLING ON AND ON HERE Click [atrb=border,0,true]
For almost the first time of the year, Lucy had a guest coming over. And it wasn't Ames. She was just plain happy. She had finally got the balls to ask someone. But she she knew that this wasn't entirely a great idea. She hadn't thought anything completely through, and she was still cleaning up. She had no clue what this Josh character was like. They've met once, and they both were being pretty forward. But she didn't know more about him than his last name.
A few minutes after hanging up on Josh, she began to think about how he would act. Would he be nice like she last saw him, or would he be a complete ass like she dreams of him being. It's a fifty fifty chance he'll like her, and with the way she is, she might just push him away.
Picking up her phone again, she checked the time on her phone, and set it back down. As she continues her work, her phone began to ring. She gave off a weird look as to why it'd ring after she walked away from it. "Lucy here." She answered eagerly, realizing it was Josh. Laughing at his response, she thought he would know where she lived. Everyone else seemed to. " It's 694 ke'e ke'e street." Smiling, and giddy with laughter, she had no good reason as to what was funny.
"I'm sorry, I forgot to tell you. I figured you'd know." At this point, Lucy knew she was being wild. She was starting to act like an eight year old after eating candy. Truth be told, this is actually her first human interaction in almost two weeks. Well, what about Ames? He calls. He's currently out of state. He told her he went to Florida to see his brother, but she knew he was lying. There was one thing wrong with that equation. Ames's brother lives in Venice, not Florida, and they never speak. Ames's brother doesn't even know Ames is his brother. Yet Lucy let him go. She knew it wasn't a good decision, but she trusts him. Even though she shouldn't. She's always getting told that he isn't being faithful, or he's lying when he says he loves her, but she doesn't want to believe in it. She believes what she wants to believe, and leaves it at that. She needs a friend. But she doesn't know what will happen with Josh. She doesn't know him at all, and that's what scares her; She knows everyone. Laughing once more, she decides to end the happy conversation, well happy. "I got to go run an errand, so when you get here, there's a key in the fern next to my door okay? I want you to use it to open the door then put it back." She was giving some man access to her house. How did she know it was the Josh she was looking for. It my have been a older man that raped him, and took his phone. Pushing the irregular and funny thoughts aside, she complained to herself. She didn't want to go pick up her paycheck from her publicist. But she wanted the money, so she decided to drag herself out the door locking it behind her. "I won't be gone long. I'll be there with in ten minutes of your arrival there. Don't worry, I trust you not to kill my dog and steal from me." She laughed, "I must go.I don't want to be late, see you when I get home." Hanging up satisfied, she ran out to her car and drove out to her publicists house.
