Phineas Doe
Angelic, Haole
Could life ever be sane again
On the Leeds side-streets that you slip down
I wonder to myself

introduction
name: Phineas Doe
nicknames: Phin
gender: Male
birthdate: 3 August 1993
birthplace: Eton, England
age: 18
sexual orientation: Gay
nationality: English
membergroup: Haole
playby: N/A
appearance
A small and sprightly indie book-keeper with a delicate bone structure and a svelte, streamlined form. Phineas looks like an angel and has ocean blue eyes with some darker blue near the pupils. He has perpetually windswept platinum hair and wears an abundance of wristbands. He has a light tan and a very light sprinkling of freckles. Often has a book tucked under his arm. Heartbreaker.
personality
Phineas used to be an upper-class Eton student, quick and cool among his peers, but at the same time gracious and level-headed. However, as a teenager he suffered through a year of horror at the hands of a heartless torturer, and after being rescued he was cripplingly shy and jumped at every movement. Remnants of that remain (he has PTSD), but these days he is a little more talkative and prone to fun, albeit in quite a gentle and endearing fashion.
inner self
likes: Sunlight, quiet, books, smiles.
dislikes: The dark, loudness, crowds, sadness.
secret: He was once tortured for a year by his foster brother.
favorite place to be: Nowhere yet!
history
In 1993, a Nordic researcher studying the new effects of biological warfare stopped by an English orphanage and gave up her four-week-old son. With his bright blonde hair, big blue eyes and adorable nature, he was swiftly fostered and then adopted by an aristocratic and warm-hearted couple living in a London manor.
William and Câline Doe had one grown-up son Michael, an unruly and rebellious boy who'd disappointed them on every level, and had turned thoughtlessly to high class inner city gang culture, nicknamed "Vicegrip" for his over-confidently violent way of getting what he wanted. Michael was nonetheless extremely protective of his gentle parents, and loathed his new baby brother - now called Phineas -immediately.
As Phineas grew, he gave Michael even more reason to hate him. For he was the perfect child, achieving the clemency, chastity and academia William and Câline had always wished for in a son.
With no desire to break his parents, the bitter and brutal Michael stayed away from Phineas, waiting patiently for the day when he could finally dispose of the boy. One Spring morning in 2009, that day finally arrived. William and Câline died in a train crash. And although their parents had died content, and having lived their lives, it was a sore loss to both of their sons - but to Michael it was bittersweet. As Phineas sat tearful and mourning in an empty house, a shadow loomed on the doorstep...
A year of emotional and often physical torture followed at the jealous, ruthless hands of Michael, leaving Phineas a broken little waif with a shattered heart. But he was rescued on the shores of Hawaii and time proved a useful medicine. Although still very much effected by PTSD, Phineas began to discover his independence. He found a small, safe apartment of his own and got himself a job in a second-hand book shop.
By the time he'd settled down in his new job he bumped into a man he once met. Grayson Thomas. Gray was a very amiable - not to mention stunningly handsome - Southerner, and Phin fell for him hard, but even though they spent some time together Grayson was too much of a gentleman to make a move. After all, Gray was in his early thirties, and Phineas only 17 years old. So they parted ways...
He was heartbroken, but emotionally stronger than he'd once been. In the Summer of 2011 Phineas's kindly elderly employer offered him one of his old residences to set up a bookshop of his own: but only when he turned 18. When that day came, it was with eagerness that young Phineas left for Ehu Island...
