a weekend on e.e.'s yacht sounded like the perfect vacation away from the already relaxing lifestyle we live on ehu island. but, what happens when someone announces there has been a murder on the yacht? who will turn against their best friend, and who will befriend the murderer? together, the ehu island citizens will have to band together and figure out who murdered the murdered?
-- you are more than welcome to jump in on this at any time. until one of the staff members announces someone has been murdered in their post, please just post as if there wasn't one.
-- as the thread goes on, staff will include more and more clues in their post. the murderer will be a non-playable character. the staff is going to god-mod these characters. with the clues provided, you have to guess who the murderer is!
-- have fun!

there couldn't be a better way to spend her weekend than on e.e.'s yacht. alette had no idea who this "e.e." person was, but she couldn't help but feel grateful he decided to provide all the ehu islanders with a kama'aina (local) discount for a relaxing vacation this weekend. and with parents who lived on the island (and who were quite possibly more social than she), it was hard to find an all-island event that they weren't at. thankfully, they were too busy at their farm this weekend to join practically all the other ehu islanders on this cruise. the young alette grabbed her cheetah print sarong from her tote bag, wrapping it snug around her waist, over her black bathing suit bottom. above her, her stomach was bare, her black, strapless bathing suit top covering her upper chest. she looked into her compact mirror, and applied chapstick to her unfortunately chapped lips, smacking them together as she gazed around her suite. she tucked her brown hair behind her ear, and grabbed her motoblur from the tiny nightstand that stood next to her bed.
alette grabbed hold of the suite door and slowly twisted it, surprised to suddenly hear all sorts of noise. a combination of music and voices graced alette's ears as she closed and locked her suite door, slowly walking past everyone in the hallway to the nose of the yacht. the people here seemed to be more around her age, even though many of them she recognized to be students at the arts academy. the people in the wide hallways of the yacht seemed to be the more middle aged people from the island. but, the people currently surrounding the nineteen year old were the boisterous kind who were definitely enjoying this opportunity to get to a level higher than wasted. "ey! bruddah!" someone shouted, "look ove he'! der some dolphins, brah!" curious, alette walked over to that side of the boat (along with everyone else), happy to see a family of dolphins jumping up and out of the ocean, following the yacht. everyone pointed and made noises, completely in awe of the jumping mammals.
when her excitement died down, alette found a lounging chair to sit back in, immediately wishing she remembered to bring her glasses. she shielded her eyes from the sun with her hands, and scanned the sky. there was not a cloud in sight. goodness. what a wonderful day to be out in the sun on a boat. if she was honest she would admit that she hadn't really any idea where they were going anyway, but alette would never admit that. it seemed easier to play along with everything. a waitress approached her, asking her if she wanted anything to drink. "i'll take a strawberry daquiri, please," she requested. as the waitress walked away, alette brought her hand down from her forehead and to her side. now, it was time to relax, and not be bothered. this would be a completely stress-free weekend...

she had been a bit more than impressed when she had heard of the opportunity to come on this yacht for a weekend to take pictures. it had been a great offer, and it hadn't been to her. . . at least not at first. she wouldn't deny, she was a musician first and foremost, the whole photography thing was simply a hobby. however, when the guy who'd originally accepted the offer suddenly had to go home to wisconsin, she'd gotten the gig. it had been a long while since she'd last been on a yacht, but what she did remember was her, jace, and kris all having a good time together. smiling at the memory, arizona peered out over the railing and into the deep blue abyss below. pulling her camera up, she focused on the shapes that were just below the surface at the same moment as a guy called out. look ove he'! der some dolphins, brah!
[/i] smiling to herself, she snapped the shots of the dolphins leaping to and fro in the froth. laughing, she put the camera back in place when she decided that was enough, just enjoying watching the sleek mammals play. she would be very impressed if at least half of the photos turned out without her hair in the way. oh the joy of having hair as long as her's, but that wasn't ever going to be enough to bring her to cut it. holding the strap in her hand as she tossed it over her shoulder, she turned to face the rest of the yacht, trying to figure out what she wanted to see first. she'd been down to her room, she'd investigated the kitchen, it was entertaining to see that pretty much the whole island was on board. granted, the paranoid nut in her was thinking that this e.e. guy was the smartest guy around, get everyone on board and then rob them for everything they're worth, but she didn't have much to loose. pulling the ray ban aviators off her head, she shielded her silver eyes as she scanned the deck. unfortunately for her, the majority of ehu island were either retired or at least on their way to that fate. bringing her camera back up to her eye, she scanned the deck, shifting the lens over from manual to auto focus and just started clicking. there was about a 30/70 chance any of these photographs would turn out well, but it was enough of a chance that she was going to do it anyway. this was going to be a fun weekend, that much she knew. A cheap weekend on a yacht that didn't have a bunch of stuck up people talking about her dad? Who wouldn't take that offer? Elizabeth would have been satisfied surfing all weekend, but this was still an awesome chance. Plus, there were probably going to be a lot of wickedly awesome parties that she could hit up tonight.
The young adult was currently leaning on the railings of the ship and looking out over the water. Her camera held ready to capture anything she could think of. Her dad had gotten her a deal with a magazine and she had to have a lot of pictures by that Friday. That was one of the upsides about having a famous father, it wasn't hard to get into things.
She was snapping pictures of some surfers, her zoom all the way up when a person yelled about some dolphins. Liz automatically searched for them and started taking pictures, setting the zoom back on normal. She smiled as one of the pictures made it look like the creature was actually looking at her.
After she had taken enough pictures of the dolphins, she looked up. Apparently Liz wasn't the only one that liked to take pictures. She noted as a girl sitting down caught her eye. The girl seemed to be taking random pictures of the passengers. Lizi walked over to her, "So you like photography too?" She asked, lifting up her own camera.
This was her absolute favorite camera, it was kinda old now, but it still took amazing pictures. She got it from her dad as a sixth birthday present and has had it ever since. The zoom was amazing on it, she was able to see the surfers as if she was on the beach.

the waitress soon came back with alette's strawberry daiquiri. "thank you," she said as she slipped the waitress a tip. she studied her surroundings, looking around again as she sipped her drink. she would need a few more after this one if there wasn't going to be anything exciting happening.
but, as soon as alette thought that, she heard a faint voice shouting something, along with stomping in the background. christ, how can i hear 'dat over all of these voices? she wondered, taking a look back behind her. soon, the man's words became clearer and clearer: "murder! murder!" he shouted, "there's been a murder on this boat!" alette arched an eyebrow, not sure if she believed this news or not. "murder!" he repeated, continuing to run closer until he joined them at the nose of the boat. "quiet!" he shouted, and suddenly everyone around stopped talking. "there has been a murder on the boat." he shouted again with a certain kind of sternness that seemed to ask for respect.
the man, arturo nevés, was the owner of big island pizza, a well-known person throughout town. he was a local man, very brown (and very big), standing at about five foot nine. "the dean of the arts academy, mario jenkins, has been murdered." he announced with a sullen look on his face, the tips of his lips curled downwards and his head hanging low. alette felt uneasy. no one would say it, but everyone had to know that someone on this yacht committed the crime.
alette gripped her drink, unsure of what to do. she looked around her, sad to see the stunned faces of the people on the yacht. as time went on, mostly complete silence, more and more people congregated at the nose of the boat. "what's happening?" they would ask, "why did they call us here?" cash kennedy, the man who had once owned kennedy's: a gentleman's club, came onto the boat with his shoulders back, spine straight, glass of wine in one hand, and wife wrapped around his other arm. when the news of mario jenkins's death hit him, he dropped both his glass and his jaw simultaneously. "where…where was this?" he asked, which alette thought as a peculiar question to ask after someone had been murdered, of all things. arturo's head sunk even lower as he said, "right there, in his suite." cash kennedy's jaw shook, as he uneasily but slowly backed away from both his wife and arturo, taking a seat at one of the nearby chairs.
