[/center][/blockquote][/blockquote]meet malcolm levi james, a guy who has grown up on ehu, living with his rather large family, bugging his three younger sisters, surfing when he has a chance, going out with his dad to the beach, anything just to be outside. but the only other thing that would quite captivate his attention was piano or cooking, it was his hobbies at first and slowly evolved into passion. he put in his mind the idea of opening a restaurant, being the head chef, having his recipes be spread throughout the world. now, he is 22, still living on ehu, still going to family dinners every wednesday, still trying to open a restaurant, and working in a local bar as the head bartender.

enter ryan berkley, a girl a few years younger than him that he met when he was eight, she was five, she would come to ehu to spend the summers with her aunt and uncle, they had been friends of the family since long before malcolm was born, and so naturally, ryan was thrown together with eryn and malcolm, the goal to get her acquainted with the city. malcolm enjoyed it, he enjoyed having someone just a little younger than eryn to show around, even if she didn't know what was going on for the first few years. he watched over her like a hawk for those three months she was there, treating her like his charge just because he was three years older. and then he had a crush on her when she was thirteen and he sixteen, to be honest, they had never noticed their ages, no one ever did, they were just too good of friends.

they dated for three years, seeing each other during the summers or whenever she would come visit her aunt and uncle. it was nice, she kept him out of trouble and he would do anything to put her on a pedestal. just to see her smile. he taught her how to surf, he helped her learn how to drive, he was both big brother and boyfriend. but those months away from each other made rumours spin around ehu, saying that malcolm was a player, that he would flirt with everyone, and eventually ryan found out about these rumours and approached him about it, she was seventeen, he'd graduated and was in college, he tried to explain that nothing was happening while she was away, but she couldn't believe him; it ended in a fight and her throwing a picture frame at him and storming off.

now he is the bartender at a bar, working on his masters in music and culinary arts. he hasn't seen ryan in over a year but he is still in love with her, so he tries to make that go away by flirting with anyone who comes into the bar, playing the piano occasionally on off nights. trying to push the memory of the girl who stole his heart out of his mind.

she doesn't have the easiest relationship with her mom, their personalities clash too much, so she has moved to ehu for the remainder of her high school career, and maybe college, up to you. no one has told malcolm that she's coming back. for face claims, not someone 'scary' looking - emo, scene, or anything like that. i'm more thinking along the lines of emma watson, amanda seyfried, mischa barton. . . girls like that, preferably blonde or light brown hair. :] everything other than that, you are free to decide upon, that's pretty much just their relationship up there.
